Refund policy
At Armour by Judi, we want you to love every piece you receive.
If something isn't quite right, we're here to help. This policy explains when you can return an item, how to start a return and how refunds are processed.
1. Our 30-Day Return Policy
We offer a 30-day return period for eligible products if you change your mind or the piece isn't quite right for you.
You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.
To qualify for a standard change-of-mind return, the item must:
-
be unused and unworn;
-
be in its original condition;
-
not show signs of damage, wear or alteration;
-
be returned with its original packaging where reasonably possible; and
-
include all items originally supplied with the product.
We reserve the right to inspect returned items before approving a refund.
2. Earrings
For hygiene reasons, earrings are excluded from our standard 30-day change-of-mind return policy once they have been delivered, unless the item is defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise subject to a statutory consumer remedy.
3. Items That Cannot Be Returned Under Our Standard Return Policy
The following are not eligible for a standard change-of-mind return:
-
earrings, once delivered;
-
items that have been worn;
-
items showing signs of use, damage or alteration;
-
items damaged through misuse or failure to follow the applicable care instructions; and
-
items returned outside the 30-day return period.
This does not limit any statutory rights you may have in relation to defective, unsafe, incorrect or misdescribed goods.
4. Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive an item that is defective or damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
A defect may include a material fault or problem that means the product does not meet the standards that a consumer is reasonably entitled to expect.
Where a product is defective, your rights are governed by applicable South African consumer law in addition to this policy.
The Consumer Protection Act provides statutory remedies for qualifying defective goods, including circumstances in which goods fail to meet applicable quality, durability or performance standards.
When contacting us about a potentially defective or damaged item, please provide:
-
your order number;
-
your name;
-
a description of the issue; and
-
clear photographs or videos showing the problem, where possible.
We may need to inspect the item to determine the appropriate remedy.
Where a statutory remedy applies, we will provide the remedy required by law.
5. Incorrect or Misdescribed Items
If you receive an item that is different from what you ordered, or the product materially does not correspond with its description on our Website, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide:
-
your order number;
-
details of the item you ordered;
-
details of what you received; and
-
photographs where helpful.
We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, return or refund in accordance with applicable law.
6. Change-of-Mind Returns
Our 30-day return policy is intended to give you additional flexibility when you change your mind about an eligible purchase.
For a change-of-mind return:
-
Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
-
Email returns@armourbyjudi.co.za with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.
-
We will provide instructions for returning the item.
-
Return the item in accordance with those instructions.
-
Once received, the item will be inspected.
-
If the return meets the requirements of this policy, we will process the applicable refund.
Unless the return is due to a defect, damage, incorrect item or another circumstance where Armour by Judi is responsible, return delivery costs for a change-of-mind return are the customer's responsibility.
7. How to Start a Return
To request a return, email: returns@armourbyjudi.co.za
Please include:
Subject: Return Request – [Order Number]
In the email, provide:
-
your full name;
-
order number;
-
item(s) you wish to return;
-
reason for the return; and
-
photographs where relevant.
Please do not send a return to an address before receiving return instructions from us.
8. Return Shipping
For standard change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to Armour by Judi.
Where the return is due to:
-
a defective product;
-
damage that occurred before delivery;
-
an incorrect item being sent; or
-
another issue for which Armour by Judi is responsible,
we will work with you to arrange an appropriate return solution in accordance with applicable law.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service when returning an item. Armour by Judi cannot be responsible for a return parcel that is lost while being sent back to us by the customer.
9. Inspection of Returned Items
All returned items are inspected before a change-of-mind refund is approved.
We reserve the right to decline a standard change-of-mind return where the item:
-
has been worn;
-
has been damaged;
-
shows signs of use;
-
has been altered;
-
is missing components;
-
does not meet the conditions of the return policy; or
-
falls outside the applicable return period.
This does not affect statutory remedies that may apply to defective or otherwise non-conforming goods.
10. Refunds
Once your return has been received and approved, we will process your refund using the applicable payment method or another appropriate method permitted by the payment provider and applicable law.
Refund processing times may vary depending on:
-
the time required to inspect the returned item;
-
the payment method originally used; and
-
the processing time of the relevant payment provider.
The time for the refunded amount to reflect in your account may therefore vary after we have processed the refund.
Where a refund is required by law, we will process it within the applicable statutory timeframe.
11. Original Shipping Charges
For an approved change-of-mind return under our voluntary 30-day return policy, the original shipping charge is generally non-refundable, as the delivery service has already been provided.
Where a return, cancellation or refund is required under applicable law, the treatment of shipping or delivery charges will be determined in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
12. Statutory Cancellation Rights for Online Transactions
Certain online transactions may be subject to cancellation rights under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (“ECTA”).
Where applicable, a consumer may have a statutory right to cancel a transaction within the period prescribed by ECTA without reason or penalty, subject to the conditions and exceptions contained in the legislation.
ECTA also provides specific consequences where an online supplier has failed to provide certain required information or an opportunity for the consumer to review and correct an electronic transaction before placing the order.
Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict or exclude any statutory cancellation right available to you.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, the applicable legislation will take precedence over our voluntary 30-day return policy.
13. Direct Marketing Cooling-Off Rights
Where a transaction results from direct marketing, applicable South African law may provide a separate cooling-off right.
The Consumer Protection Act provides a five-business-day cooling-off period for qualifying transactions resulting from direct marketing, although this provision does not apply where the ECTA cancellation provision applies to the transaction.
Where such a statutory right applies, we will honour the applicable legal requirements.
14. Sale and Promotional Items
Unless otherwise stated, items purchased during a sale or promotional period remain eligible for our standard 30-day return policy if they otherwise meet the requirements of that policy.
A discount or promotional price does not remove statutory consumer rights relating to defective, incorrect or misdescribed goods.
Where a specific promotion has additional return conditions, those conditions will be clearly communicated as part of the promotion.
15. Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges for a different product, size or style because stock availability can change.
Where you wish to exchange an eligible item, please contact: returns@armourbyjudi.co.za
If the requested replacement is unavailable, we may instead process a refund where appropriate.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory right to a replacement, refund or other remedy.
16. Jewellery Care and Normal Wear
Our jewellery is designed for everyday wear, but normal wear and exposure to environmental factors can affect jewellery over time.
Our product descriptions and care guidance should be followed to help preserve the appearance and finish of your jewellery.
Damage resulting from misuse, accidental damage, alteration, improper storage or failure to follow care instructions may not qualify as a defect.
However, we will assess each reported issue fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
17. Refunds for Unfulfilled Orders
If we are unable to fulfil an order because the product is unavailable, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
Where a refund is required, payments received for the affected goods will be refunded in accordance with the applicable statutory requirements.

19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our products, business practices or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version will always be published on this page together with the relevant “Last updated” date.
Any change will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued to a consumer under applicable law.
